Ziye Hu

Ziye Hu is a highly experienced microbiologist currently serving as Principal Scientist QC Microbiology at Galapagos since December 2023. Prior to this role, Ziye held the position of Principal Scientist QC Microbiology at CellPoint from August 2023 to January 2024 and worked as Sterility Assurance Lead at Lonza from May 2021 to August 2023. Ziye's background also includes serving as a Microbiologist and Quality Officer at Sanquin from 2017 to May 2021 and as a Consultant/Microbiologist at Royal HaskoningDHV between August 2015 and 2017. Ziye completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology at Radboud University from 2010 to 2014 and holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Microbiology from Fudan University (2007-2010) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Nanjing Agricultural University (2003-2007).
