Jae Chang

Jae Chang has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They have held various roles in different companies. Currently, Jae is working as the Director of IT at GLY Construction since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Slalom starting from June 2019.

Before joining Slalom, Jae worked at Sellen Construction for over ten years. They held multiple positions at Sellen, including BI Manager from January 2016 to March 2019 and IT Manager from October 2007 to January 2017. In these roles, Jae played a crucial role in developing a BI roadmap and strategy, implementing cloud data warehousing and ETL tools, and creating data-driven dashboards. They also managed the IT infrastructure and executed technology initiatives during their tenure as the IT Manager.

Jae's earlier experiences include working as a Distributed Systems Engineer at Boeing from February 2006 to October 2007. They also worked at JDA Software as a Sr. Systems Engineer/Analyst from October 2003 to October 2005, where they successfully completed a major server consolidation project. Starting their career as a Systems Administrator at Metris Companies in May 2001, Jae gained valuable experience in managing systems and administration.

Jae Chang has a strong educational background in computer engineering and information technology administration. In 1996, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering, which they completed in 2000. After gaining foundational knowledge in this field, they decided to further their education and enrolled in the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business in 2013. Jae successfully completed the program and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Jae Chang has also obtained a certification in Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: BI Reporting. Jae achieved this certification from Microsoft in October 2019, further enhancing their expertise in the field.
