Scott Youngberg

Scott Youngberg has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Scott started their career at Nissan Motor Corporation in 1998, where they worked as a Senior Project Engineer for both Production Engineering and Body/Door Design. Scott was responsible for the insertion of a new vehicle project into an existing Body assembly line and led the Body Design team for the new Nissan Altima.

In 2013, Scott joined Tesla, where they held various roles over a span of six years. Scott worked as a Sr. Engineer/Staff Engineer for Body Structure Design, focusing on design improvements, cycle time reduction, and troubleshooting production concerns. Scott then became the Mechanical Design Manager for Body Structures, overseeing design issues resolution and successfully launching the Model X. Scott also built and managed the Body Advanced Development Team, working on emerging technologies and product innovations.

From 2019 to 2020, Scott worked as a Hardware Design Engineer for a startup, contributing to the development of new hardware technologies.

Most recently, Scott has been working at Rivian, starting in 2020 as a Sr. Manager for Body Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for managing and leading the body manufacturing engineering team.

In 2023, Scott joined Glydways as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer.

Scott Youngberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where they attended from 1993 to 1998.
