Kyle Smith, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. From 2019 to the present, they worked as the Director of Accounting at Attane, where they managed the preparation of monthly financial statements, reviewed payroll accuracy, and compiled commission information for the sales team. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, they held two roles at Life Care Services. As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, they assisted Life Plan Communities with financial needs and trained new accounting directors. As a Finance Analyst, they provided financial assistance to non-profit Life Plan Communities and served as the accounting director for a community during periods of turnover.

From 2013 to 2017, Kyle worked at the State of Iowa - Auditor of State. Initially starting as an Assistant Auditor, they examined financial records of governmental organizations and verified compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Kyle then advanced to the role of Staff Auditor, where they led audits of governmental entities. Finally, as a Senior Auditor, they continued leading audits and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

In addition to their professional experience, Kyle also worked as a Student Assistant at Northwest from 2011 to 2013, where they assisted residents and implemented programs to foster a neighborhood atmosphere. Kyle also gained accounting experience as a Summer Accounting Intern at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in 2012, where they created expense reports, audited travel receipts, improved tracking systems, and reconciled bank statements for state parks. Kyle's earliest work experience was as a Shift Supervisor at Warrior Lanes from 2005 to 2012, where they supervised employees, maintained money reports, and balanced books.

Kyle Smith, CPA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Private Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University in 2009-2013. Kyle then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa from 2017 to 2022. In March 2015, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) certification from the State of Iowa.
