Norman Luong

Senior Systems Engineer at Glyphic Biotechnologies

Norman Luong has worked in the biotechnology industry since 2012. Norman began as an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Merced in 2012, then moved on to Scientist I-II at Roche Molecular Systems in 2014, where they developed HPLC methods for oligonucleotide purification and analysis, created new protocols on automated liquid handlers to increase throughput and efficiency, and conducted studies on oligonucleotide G-quadruplex formation and Mastermix stability. In 2016, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Diego. Currently, they are an Engineer II at Glyphic Biotechnologies.

Norman Luong received their Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, Merced in 2013. Norman then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
