Nate Bain

Nate Bain is a highly experienced mining professional currently serving as Principal Long Term Mine Planning at GM³, responsible for overseeing long-term mine planning at Appin and Dendrobium operations while implementing a transition to new scheduling software. Prior to GM³, Nate Bain worked at Peabody Energy as a Senior Mining Engineer, managing various planning processes and maintaining mine schedules using specialized software. Additional experience includes roles at South32, where responsibilities included mid-term mine planning, longwall improvement, and operational support, as well as extensive underground and engineering positions at BHP Billiton and other notable companies. Nate Bain holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the University of Wollongong and further qualifications in Coal Mine Ventilation.
