Melvin Chicas

Melvin Chicas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the retail industry. Most recently, they served as the VP of Planning at Capelli New York starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Inventory Planning at Rowan from July 2022 to December 2022. From August 2020 to July 2022, Melvin worked as the Retail Merchandising Manager at Orva. Melvin also has experience at Modell's Sporting Goods where they worked in roles such as Senior Merchandise Planner/Assistant Buyer, Merchandise Planner, Merchandise Analyst, and Retail Manager from 2010 to 2020. Melvin began their career as an Assistant Store Manager at Timberland, a VF Company in 2009 and prior to that, they worked as a Building Manager at Rutgers University-New Brunswick from 2008 to 2009.

Melvin Chicas earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.
