Ashley Mitchell Ed.d.

Ashley Mitchell, Ed.D., currently serves as the 7th Grade Team Lead and ELA Teacher at Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School and as a Content Developer for The GMarie Group. Previous experience includes Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Forte Preparatory Academy Charter School, Mentor Teacher and Grade Team Lead at Ascend Public Charter Schools, and Regional Consultant at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Ashley Mitchell has held teaching positions at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School and University of Chicago Charter School, and has also contributed as a tutor and campaign coordinator. Ashley Mitchell earned a Doctor of Education in K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Race & Ethnic Studies from the University of Chicago.
