Daewon Park has over a decade of experience in human resources, with their most recent role being Lead of the People Growth Team at Gmarket since October 2022. In this role, they serve as a People Business Partner, working closely with leaders in various departments to address people-related issues and provide coaching and advice. Daewon also manages the engagement survey process and analyzes the results to consult on team environments. Daewon participates in talent management by facilitating a Talent Council to identify key talents and successor groups, and they archive and tracks talent records for informed decision-making. Additionally, Daewon is responsible for executing performance and compensation planning, as well as implementing change management programs to adopt new compensation models. Prior to their position at Gmarket, Daewon worked at The Prudential Life Insurance Company of Korea as a Human Resources Manager from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they played a vital role in organizational development and HR strategy planning, including managing annual salary and benefit budgets. Daewon also contributed to HR risk management and compliance efforts, developed HR analytics models, and oversaw workforce planning and talent acquisition. Before joining The Prudential Life Insurance Company of Korea, Daewon served as a Senior HR Associate at Mirae Asset Global Investments, where they were involved in HR planning and organizational structure change planning.
Daewon Park, SPHR, SHRM-SCP obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law from Hanyang University, where they studied from 2001 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have also completed several certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2014 and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in 2015. Daewon has also pursued certifications in HR analytics, data analysis, and Google Analytics.
