Michel van Luijtelaar has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Before their time at Google, Michel worked as a Freelance Media Consultant at World Report Media, where they produced country reports and collaborated with CEOs from various industries. Michel also worked as a Freelance Market Researcher at Trianel Energie B.V. In addition, they gained experience as a Business Development Manager at Hi Touch Imaging Technologies, where they marketed and sold photographic products.

Michel started their career with an internship at Pecoma Business Technology.

Michel van Luijtelaar completed Google's internal leadership development program, Mercury, from 2009 to 2010, focusing on management. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in International Business, with a specialization in Organization & Management, at Tilburg University from 1997 to 2002. During their time at Tilburg University, they also attended Northern Illinois University in 2000 to undertake various courses in IT, Marketing, and E-commerce, although they did not obtain a degree from that institution.

Their secondary education includes attending Sint-Janslyceum from 1995 to 1997, where they completed an Atheneum program with a major in Economics & Math. Before that, they attended Jeroen Bosch College from 1990 to 1995, also completing an Atheneum program with the same major.

Additionally, Michel van Luijtelaar has recently obtained Google Analytics Certification twice in August 2022 from Google.
