Kate Barlow

Kate Barlow has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Kate started as a Counsellor Advocate at Barwon Centre Against Sexual Assault in 1998 and later became a Committee of Management Member at Barwon Community Legal Service in 2009. In 2004, they joined Bethany Community Support as a Team Leader for the Barwon Victims Assistance and Counselling Program. Kate then became the Executive Manager of Community Support at Bethany Community Support, where they were responsible for various program areas. In 2012, they joined Barwon Medicare Local as the Director of Clinical Services and later served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer. Kate then moved to Western Victoria Primary Health Network in 2015, taking on the roles of Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Director Strategy and Planning and later Acting Chief Executive Officer. In 2017, they started their own consulting company, Kate Barlow Consulting, where they provided a range of services including strategic and business planning. Their most recent role is Chief of People and Culture at GMHBA Limited, starting in November 2020.

Kate Barlow completed their Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences with a major in Sociology at Deakin University from 1991 to 1993. Kate continued their education at the Victorian University of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Social Work from 1995 to 1997. In 2010, Kate attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors for the Graduate - Company Directors Course. Kate also pursued a Masters in Clinical Leadership at Deakin University from 2013 to 2019, although it seems that this degree was deferred and not completed.
