Narelle Magee has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Narelle started their career as a Management Trainee at ANZ in 1990 and later worked as an Associate Director at Ernst & Young from 1994 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Marie Stopes International Australia as a Program Support Manager/Regional Finance Manager before moving on to become the Director of Operations (Health Service Delivery) at Marie Stopes Tanzania in 2010.

During their time at Marie Stopes Tanzania, Narelle Magee also served as the Acting Country Director and played a key role in the strategic planning and vision development for the organization. Narelle led various initiatives and managed multiple health service delivery channels across Tanzania.

Narelle Magee's work experience also includes roles such as Program Management Advisor at Oxfam Australia, Independent Consultant at Narelle Magee Consultant, Manager of the Program Management Team at The Nossal Institute for Global Health, and Business Improvement Manager at cohealth.

Narelle Magee completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Marketing at Deakin University. Narelle then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Certified Practising Accountant from CPA Australia. Narelle later enrolled in Monash University where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in International Public Health/International Health in 2014. Narelle continued their education at Monash University and completed their Masters in Public Health with a specialization in International Public Health/International Health in 2016.
