Raymond Chung

Co-Founder & COO at GMM Nonstick Coatings

Raymond Chung has spent the majority of his career in the nonstick coatings industry.

Beginning in 1994, Mr. Chung was Founder and President of Multi-Mix Marketing, which was the exclusive distributor and sales agent in Southeast Asia for Coatings and Chemicals Corporation (CCC), a family owned supplier of nonstick coatings. CCC eventually became the sole supplier to most American cookware, bakeware, and electrical appliance manufacturers because of its pioneering use of high quality “non-branded” non-stick coatings.

Mr. Chung grew his sales operation very quickly, and within 4 years was handling almost $10 million of sales for CCC for the local market as well as export business. Mr. Chung built a logistics operation that was able to seamlessly bring in and stock coatings from the USA, and then ship to local Chinese customers as needed. Mr. Chung also hired a large technical service staff that was capable of servicing both large and small customers very quickly.

After CCC was sold to Akzo Nobel, Mr. Chung continued as an independent agent for ANNSC, working with company personnel as they built a facility in Dongguan, China. Mr. Chung’s expertise allowed the company to dominate the rice cooker market, the small electrics market, and was also instrumental in managing USA “specified” sales.

In 2007, Mr. Chung resigned from ANNSC and teamed up to form GMM with Ravin Gandhi, who he had worked with for many years at CCC and Akzo Nobel.

Mr. Chung holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of East Asia.
