Andrew Hutson is a senior media buyer at GMMB. Andrew previously worked as an account executive at Defense One from April 2017 to January 2018. There, they collaborated with defense contractors, consulting firms, and technology companies to identify marketing objectives, painpoints, and develop strategic media plans to market their solutions to the public sector via different media outreach tactics, including: digital advertisements, live events, thought leadership content creation and distribution, and B2B/B2G lead generation products. Andrew also worked internally with marketing, product development, and project management teams to advocate client priorities and to develop customized branding and ABM programs that delivered results to satisfy client given KPIs. In addition, they managed a long tail territory list of clients to educate them on GEMG product offerings, identify targeted government agencies and marketing tactics, and close net new business. Andrew also performed extensive competitive analysis of the defense media market utilizing MediaRadar for Publishers and other tools to identify new sales prospects and maximize market share. Lastly, they assisted marketing and events teams to promote editorial events for Defense One, Government Executive, and Nextgov through extensive direct email campaigns.
Andrew Hutson attended Oberlin College where they received their Bachelor's degree in Theirtory. Andrew also attended Georgetown Day High School.
