Georgios Sakoulis has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Georgios started their career in 2000 at JP Morgan as a Quantitative Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Georgios then moved on to UBS O'CONNOR as a Quantitative Strategist and Portfolio Manager in 2003, before joining Numeric Investors as a Partner and Director of European Strategies in 2006. In 2009, Georgios joined GMO as a Portfolio Manager and Head of Quantitative Equity Research in the Emerging Markets division. Georgios later transitioned to QMA in 2014, where they held the role of Managing Director and Head of Global Multi-Asset Solutions until 2020. Currently, Georgios is the Head of Investment Teams at GMO. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, portfolio management, and asset allocation.

Georgios Sakoulis has a diverse educational background in the field of Economics and Finance. Georgios pursued their undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University from 1991 to 1996, earning both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics. Following this, they moved on to the University of Washington, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics in 2000. During their time at the University of Washington, Sakoulis also pursued a PhD in Economics and Finance, completing their doctoral studies in 2000. In the same year, they engaged as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the field of International Economics.
