Bithal Bhardwaj is an experienced cybersecurity leader currently serving as Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at GMR Group since January 2020. Bithal's previous role as Chief Information Security Officer for General Electric (GE) spanned over 13 years, where responsibilities included overseeing regional cyber security strategies for multiple international regions and driving initiatives across South Asia and Africa. Bithal's extensive background encompasses leadership positions focused on IT security, risk governance, and application security within GE and other organizations, including GENPACT and Satyam Computer Services Ltd. Bithal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
