Angel Gallego has extensive experience in space surveillance and space domain awareness, currently serving as the Head of Space Domain Awareness at GMV since February 2014. This role involves leadership in military SST/SSA/SDA projects and global strategy coordination. Prior positions at GMV include Project Manager and Operations Engineer within the Space Surveillance & Tracking domain, where responsibilities encompassed managing the evolution and maintenance of the Spanish SST Operations Centre (S3TOC), overseeing operational coordination, and conducting risk evaluations related to collision avoidance. Angel Gallego also contributed to SST activities during an internship with CNES, focusing on the development and validation of SST subsystems and orbit determination algorithms, and completed a Master's thesis on in-orbit fragmentations as part of ESA’s SSA program. A graduate of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with a Master's in Aerospace Engineering, foundational education includes a Bachillerato in Sciences and Technology from IES Alexander Graham Bell.
