Stan Markelov

Stan Markelov is a highly experienced aerospace professional with a robust background in technical leadership and mission operations. Currently serving as Technical Lead at GMV since July 2022, Markelov manages a team for the EUMETSAT CO2M mission and oversees the Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) pre-launch campaign for the Overall Ground Segment. Previously, at The Aerospace Corporation, Markelov held positions including GeoXO Deputy Mission Operations Manager, where development of Mission Operations requirements was a key responsibility. Earlier roles at ASRC Federal and ASRC Aerospace involved significant leadership and technical execution for multiple GOES-R Task Orders and satellite operations engineering, contributing to high-performance scores and successful project outcomes. Markelov's educational background includes a Master's degree in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
