Alexander Berler

Alexander Berler has extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector, currently serving as Vice Chair and Chair at HL7 Hellas since June 2003, where promotion of HL7 standards in Greece is a primary focus. As TSC Chair and BoD Member at Gnomon Informatics SA since September 2006, Alexander leads consulting services and oversees international projects related to cross-border healthcare, security, data privacy, and interoperability. In addition, Alexander holds the position of Strategic Business Development Director at IHE Catalyst and previously served as IHE Services Director at IHE-Europe, emphasizing the expansion of IHE services in the eHealth community. With managerial roles at Information Society SA and DATAMED SA, and early research experience at NTUA, Alexander possesses a robust academic background, including a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Patras, an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
