Karan Aswani

Karan Aswani has a strong legal background, with their most recent role being Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel at Gnosis since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at ISOLAS LLP as a Senior Associate from June 2019 to June 2022, and as an Associate from February 2016 to May 2019. Karan gained valuable experience at Bird & Bird, where they worked as an Associate in the Commercial department, focusing on large Infrastructure Projects within the Energy, Defence, and IT sectors. Karan also worked on E-Commerce, Franchising, and International Agency and Distribution matters. Karan initially started their legal career at Bird & Bird as a Trainee Solicitor, where they completed a training contract in various departments before qualifying as an Associate in the Commercial department.

Karan Aswani completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law with French at the University of Warwick from 2005 to 2009. During their undergraduate studies, in 2007-2008, they also spent a year at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, focusing on Law. Later, in 2009-2010, they pursued the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law to further enhance their legal education.
