Born in Palermo, Italy, John moved to the United States in August, 1973. After majoring in Business Management (with minors in Marketing & Accounting) at Queens College and many odd jobs, in 1978 John landed the position of Inventory Control Analyst at Tubeco, Inc. a piping systems fabricator serving the nuclear power industry. In 1983 John left Tubeco and accepted the position of Material’s Control Manager at Brooklyn Lace Paperworks, a paper converter located in Brooklyn, New York. In 1985, John co-founded GNP Specialties, Inc.
John lives in Northport, NY with his wife Vicky. John and Vicky have a daughter Frances (alumnus of the University of Delaware and Loyola University – Chicago Graduate School) and a son Joseph (alumnus of St. John’s University and Columbia University Graduate School).
John enjoys travel, good food, movies, music and any time spent on Shelter Island. A passionate soccer fan ( Forza Inter) and experienced musician, John can be seen (and heard) around Long Island with his blues/rock band BLU MOJO.
