Simone Scalas

Simone Scalas is an experienced travel designer currently employed at Go Ask A Local since January 2022. Prior to this role, Simone was a partner at Mediterras from January 2008 to August 2023, specializing in private active tours and consulting on active tourism for both public and private sectors. Simone's expertise includes creating official guidebooks for Sardinia's tourism board and promoting the region's active tourism market during international exhibitions. Additionally, Simone served as a tour leader and trip specialist at Ciclismo Classico from 2006 to February 2017, focusing on cycling and hiking tours, and held the position of project coordinator at Sardegna Ricerche between 2005 and October 2009, where Simone worked on promoting Sardinia as a hiking and biking destination.
