Debarun Dhar

Research Engineer, Computer Vision at RADAR

Debarun Dhar has a diverse work experience in the field of computer vision and research. Debarun began their career in 2013 as a Research Intern for the Design & Engineering from Nano-Scale (DENS) Group at City University of Hong Kong, where they assisted the research team in conducting an atomistic molecular dynamics study on wood and wood-based composites. Debarun also developed a cross-linking algorithm for the accurate formation of cross-linked phenolic resins. In 2014, they moved on to CityU Apps Lab, City University of Hong Kong, as a Senior Student Programmer. In 2016, they became a Research Assistant at the Video, Image & Sound Analysis Lab (VISAL) at City University of Hong Kong. Two years later, in 2018, they were hired as a Computer Vision Intern at RADAR. Debarun is currently employed at RADAR as a Research Engineer, Computer Vision.

Debarun Dhar completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from City University of Hong Kong between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Bishop Cotton Boys' School from 1998 to 2012, where they earned an ICSE + ISC, Science High School degree. In 2017, they completed an MS Information Systems (Cornell) & MS Applied Information Science (Technion) in Health Tech degree from Cornell Tech.
