Joe Mueller

System Engineer at RADAR

Joe Mueller has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. Joe began their career in 1998 at 3Com as a Digital Signal Processing Engineer, where they were responsible for the implementation of physical layer algorithms for DSL and WLAN. Joe also represented 3Com as a technical expert in the ITU DSL standardization body. In 2002, they moved to Texas Instruments as a PHY Algorithm Development Lead, leading the physical layer algorithms team in the design and implementation of next-generation physical layer algorithms for silicon. In 2005, they joined Entropic Communications as a Communications Systems Engineer, Sr. Staff. In 2013, they moved to L-3 Communications as a Senior Principal Engineer, where they were responsible for the development, modeling and testing of new algorithms for a high-throughput mobile satellite communications system in a hostile environment. Joe also led the team in hardening the PHY-Layer algorithms against interference. In 2018, they began working as a System Engineer at RADAR, where they were responsible for the design, simulation, validation and specification of an RFID Interrogator PHY-Layer transceiver. Joe also became President of JMueller Consulting, LLC that same year.

Joe Mueller obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1992, and a Masters of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Digital Communications from the University of Victoria in 1995.
