Karanpreet Bindra has over 15 years of experience in marketing and brand management. Karanpreet is currently the Group Chief Marketing Officer at Yubi, a fast-growing fintech unicorn valued at $1.5 billion. In this role, they oversee marketing for around 10 fintech product lines across 5 companies in India and the MENA region.
Prior to Yubi, Bindra worked as the Head of Marketing at Rupeek, a consumer lending fintech. During their tenure, Rupeek became the fastest-growing tech startup in India, raising approximately $60 million in funding.
Before joining Rupeek, Bindra held several roles at Marico Limited, where they served as a Marketing Manager and Head of Products for the Kaya Skin Clinic MENA business. Karanpreet was responsible for leading the brand's marketing strategies and driving innovation. Karanpreet also worked as a Senior Brand Manager during their time at Marico Limited.
Bindra gained experience in the paint industry as a Product Manager and Brand Manager at AkzoNobel India Ltd (formerly ICI Paints). Karanpreet successfully launched and relaunched products, revitalizing declining categories and implementing digital marketing strategies.
Earlier in their career, Bindra worked as a Brand Manager at Future Brands Ltd., where they played a key role in establishing WildStone and Temptation as leading deodorant brands in India. Karanpreet also worked at Tata Teleservices as an E-Commerce Manager and Assistant Manager, contributing to the company's online marketing strategies and product launches.
Bindra started their career as an intern at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide.
Karanpreet Bindra holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing, Brand Management, and Brand Communications Management from MICA | The School of Ideas, which was obtained from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, Bindra completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History and Economics from Hindu College, University of Delhi, from 2002 to 2005. In terms of additional certifications, Bindra has obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot in September 2014 and has also been certified in Digital Transformations from the Indian School of Business in 2016. Additionally, Bindra has a certification in Building Your Marketing Technology Stack from LinkedIn, obtained in 2018.
