Maija de Rijk-Uys is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the tourism and consulting sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member for South African Tourism since April 2024, Maija also holds the position of Managing Director at Go2Africa, an online travel agency specializing in African travel, since March 2016. Previous roles include setting up the PwC Accelerator for Africa, mentoring at Shanduka Black Umbrellas, and consulting for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation. Maija's career began at Virgin Travel as an Assistant Financial Accountant and included significant tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Transaction Services, focusing on financial diligence and strategic advisory. Maija holds Honours degrees in Financial Accounting from Stellenbosch University and the University of South Africa.
