Daniel Jhin Yoo has a long and varied work experience. Daniel Jhin started as a Project Lead at Oracle in 2001. In 2007 they became a Contracted Software Developer at Google. From 2006 to 2009 they were a Teacher of Integrated Services at Cesar Chavez Academy. From 2009 to 2011 they worked as a Coordinator for Integrated Services at Ravenswood City School District. In 2011 they became an Entrepreneur at Imagine K12 and a Kauffman Education Ventures Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation, where they developed next-generation tools for special education. Daniel Jhin was also a former software developer, special education teacher, and district coordinator. Finally, they became a Founder at Goalbook in 2011 and at Long Term Impact in 2021.

Daniel Jhin Yoo attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Daniel Jhin then attended California State University - East Bay from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Credential in Multiple Subject and Level I Education Specialist. In 2011, they attended Y Combinator's ImagineK12 (Summer 2011) program.
