Shannon Gallagher

Lead Editor of Mathematics at Goalbook

Shannon Gallagher has a wealth of experience in the educational field. Shannon began their career as an Elementary Teacher at Sipley Elementary School in 2008. Two years later, they moved to the American School of Bombay, where they served as a Second Grade Teacher from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they were responsible for designing and implementing inquiry-driven learning opportunities based on a PYP framework and 21st Century Skills, while also establishing and maintaining classroom practices to promote data-driven differentiation and personalization. Shannon was also involved with prototyping and implementing innovative teaching practices such as Project-Based Learning, Bring Your Own Device, and ePortfolios. In 2014, they became the PYP Coordinator and Instructional Coach at Academia Cotopaxi. Two years later, they took on the role of Educational Coach at ideastream. Shannon currently serves as the Lead Editor of Mathematics at Goalbook.

Shannon Gallagher received their Bachelor's of Early Childhood Education, Minor Special Education from Bowling Green State University in 2007. Shannon then attended Northeastern Illinois University from 2008 to 2010, where they earned their Master of Arts in Gifted Education. In 2013, they completed their Master of Arts in Education from the University of Northern Iowa, specializing in Principalship.
