Veronica Lucena

Veronica Lucena has a diverse professional background, with experience in recruitment, operations consulting, business program management, training and engagement coordination, community organizing, research and marketing management, teaching, and more.

In 2019, Lucena began working as a Diversity Recruiter for Goalbook, a company that partners with over 500 districts across the country to empower teachers and transform instruction.

Prior to this, Lucena worked as a Recruiting Marketing Specialist for Appirio from 2017-2019. From 2009-2016, Lucena held various roles, including Vice President of Expansion for Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., Operations Consultant for World Financial Group (WFG), Recruitment Manager for Teach For America, Interviewer/Recruiter for Varsity Tutors, Business Program Manager for BUILD, Training and Engagement Coordinator and Community Organizer for Stand for Children, and Owner and Research and Marketing Manager for VHL Investment Group.

Lucena also worked as a Reading Enrichment Teacher for Green Dot - Animo Locke 1 High School from 2009-2010.

Veronica Lucena attended California State University-Dominguez Hills from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Postbac/Credential in Education. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a BA in Theatre Studies.
