Shayna McLendon, ED.S

Shayna McLendon has a diverse work experience in the education field. Shayna is currently working as an Education Project Manager at Goalsetter since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Principal at GRANITE CITY CUSD 9 SCHOOL DISTRICT from December 2021 to June 2023. From May 2019 to December 2021, Shayna worked as a Dean of Students at Lift for Life Academy, and before that, they were a 7th Grade English Teacher at the same institution from August 2017 to May 2019. Shayna also worked as a Language Arts Teacher at Staunton School District from August 2014 to June 2017 and as an English Teacher at West Central High School from June 2013 to May 2014.

Shayna McLendon attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 2009 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education. Shayna then pursued further education at the same institution from 2015 to 2017, obtaining a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Recently, from 2020 to 2022, Shayna completed their Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
