Atvars Karro

Atvars Karro has extensive work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Atvars is currently working at GoCardless as a Tester and Team Lead, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Nordigen as a Tester and Team Lead from March 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Nordigen, Atvars was employed at If Insurance (If P&C Insurance) as a Test Lead from January 2020 to March 2021. Atvars also worked as a Guest Lecturer at the Software Development Academy from April 2020 to September 2020.

Atvars gained valuable experience as a Test Lead at FullContact from August 2015 to December 2019. Atvars'sresponsibilities included implementing QA practices, building and mentoring the testing team, and conducting hands-on testing (both manual and automated). Atvars also created a mobile test framework using Python, behave, and Appium.

At Genesys, Atvars held multiple roles including QA Manager for Genesys iWD and eServices from January 2013 to April 2015, and Test Lead for Genesys iWD from December 2006 to December 2012. Atvars'sduties involved team leading, participating in product requirement specification/design, and overseeing the QA process.

Earlier in their career, Atvars worked as a Development Project Manager at Tieto from July 2006 to December 2006, as a QA Team Lead at Exigen Group from 2000 to 2006, and as a Test Engineer/Team Lead at SWH Tehnologija from June 1998 to December 1999.

Atvars Karro attended Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) from 1995 to 2005, where they pursued a master's degree in Computer Sciences.
