Ted Brodheim

Advisor at GoCoach

Ted Brodheim is the current advisor at GoCoach and was previously the Vice President at Samsung Electronics America from September 2014 to January 2019. Prior to that, they were the President at Altamira Advisors and before that, they were the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the New York City Department of Education from January 2007 to May 2011. In this role, Ted oversaw all technology supporting the instructional and administrative needs of 140,000 employees, the City's 1.1 million students and over 1,500 schools.

Ted has been in the technology field for over 20 years and has held various leadership positions during that time. Ted has a proven track record of implementing technology to support various business needs, including classroom based technology, special education, and a rigorous new accountability system. Ted is also experienced in upgrading core systems - some of which are over 20 years old.

The technology infrastructure at the DOE is one of the largest, public or private in New York City. It includes 9,000 miles of cabling connecting 325,000 workstations to a 95 mile fiber optic loop spanning all five boroughs, and over 65,000 wireless access points servicing 52,000 classrooms. Under Ted's guidance, the infrastructure has been able to successfully support the needs of the DOE.

Ted Brodheim completed a Bachelor of Arts in English at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
