Joey Paskhay

Joey Paskhay has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and has worked for various companies in the technology industry.

In 2004, Joey started their career at Mitel, now known as Inter-Tel, as a Software Applications Engineer II. Joey was a core member of the Inter-Tel 7000 platform's database team and worked closely with other functional teams to manage the call-processing and routing system.

From 2008 to 2010, Joey worked at Remotian Systems, Inc., a small startup. Joey was the first non-founding employee hired and played a significant role in developing Tripware, a business travel automation software suite. Joey designed and implemented various components of the software, including the database, provisioning framework, and user portals.

From 2010 to 2011, Joey worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Crexendo Business Solutions. Joey was part of the telecom group responsible for rolling out a new hosted telecom service targeted at small businesses. Joey worked on database management, provisioning framework, web services, and UI development for the administrative and user portals.

Joey then joined eBay Enterprise in 2011 as a Member of Technical Staff 1. Joey was a core member of a small Scrum team that worked on the display advertising platform. Joey also led the engineering efforts for the demand side platform running on AWS, delivering high performance and scalability.

In 2015, Joey joined GoDaddy as a Senior Software Engineer in the Hadoop Platform team. Joey was part of a small team that managed central Hadoop and Kafka clusters, as well as primary data ingest pipelines. The Hadoop cluster had a significant capacity and was maintained across multiple data centers.

In 2016, Joey moved into the role of a Senior Software Engineer in the Data Platform team at GoDaddy. Joey took on the role of a technical lead for the real-time data pipeline revamp, focusing on using open-source technologies and improving reliability, stability, and data quality. Joey also led the production ramp-up, migration, and cloud integration efforts.

Joey's most recent role at GoDaddy is as a Principal Software Engineer in the Application Services team, which they started in June 2018.

Joey Paskhay completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree at Arizona State University from 2001 to 2005. Joey'sfield of study was Computer Systems Engineering.
