Willem van der Merwe

Willem van der Merwe has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Willem currently holds the position of Principal Engineer (iOS) at GoDaddy since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an iOS Engineer at Over from May 2019. From March 2015 to April 2019, Willem served as an iOS Developer, holding the roles of Tech Lead and Team Lead, at Zapper™. Before that, they were the iOS Lead Developer / Architect at UGoMyWay from April 2014 to February 2015. From March 2011 to March 2014, they held the same title at AfroZaar. Additionally, Willem worked at BBD as a Team Lead / Architect / Engineer from August 2007 to December 2010, and as a Java Contractor at Verisign South Africa from January 2007 to July 2007. Willem began their career as a Software Architect at Hemisphere Technologies from October 1999 to December 2006.
