Joanna Tellis has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Joanna began their career at Loyola University Maryland as an Associate Director of Service-Learning, where they worked on coordinating service-learning placements and promoting the pedagogy on campus. After that, they joined Goddard Riverside Community Center, where they served as a Connections Coordinator and was responsible for staff development retreats, student intern placements, and developing family programs. Joanna later joined East River Development Alliance as a Program Administrator, focusing on database management, program evaluation, and workforce development. Currently, Joanna is working at Goddard Riverside as the Director of Employee Relations & Performance Management, overseeing benefits coordination and ensuring employee satisfaction.

Joanna Tellis completed their Master of Social Work degree at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Social Work from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Language - Spanish from Loyola University Maryland between 1992 and 1996.
