LaKisha Williams has extensive experience in community engagement and advocacy, currently serving as the Director of #DegreesNYC since January 2012, after a series of progressive roles including Policy and Advocacy Manager and Assistant Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement. In addition to this role, LaKisha has held the position of Deputy Director at #DegreesNYC since August 2021. Previous experience includes the Assistant Director position at St. Matthew & St. Timothy's from September 1996 to December 2011. LaKisha holds a Master of Divinity in Liberation Theology from Union Theological Seminary and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Religion/Religious Studies and Sociology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
