Allison is a litigation shareholder and co-chair of Godfrey & Kahn’s firm-wide antitrust practice.

A substantial portion of Allison’s practice is in the area of antitrust, including litigation, corporate counseling, and mergers and acquisitions. Allison’s antitrust litigation experience includes individual and class actions brought under federal and state antitrust laws regarding issues such as territorial allocation, most favored nations clauses, exclusive dealing, other exclusionary conduct in contracting, and alleged “sham” government petitioning.

Allison also regularly counsels clients on a variety of antitrust issues including minimum advertised price policies, resale price maintenance, product distribution, covenants not to compete, information sharing, and joint ventures and other competitor collaborations. She also advises clients on antitrust issues in mergers and acquisitions including information sharing, antitrust risk evaluation, and pre-merger antitrust investigations, including second requests under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

Allison has considerable experience in civil litigation and government investigations in the health care industry, for clients including health systems, health insurers, providers, and pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and wholesalers. These matters include antitrust litigation, government investigations and civil litigation under the False Claims Act and state equivalents, grand jury subpoenas involving alleged health care fraud, and complex commercial disputes.

Allison also represents clients in litigation matters involving deceptive trade practices, business torts, trademarks and contract disputes. She also has represented executives and other employees in internal investigations and served as separate counsel for individual witnesses and defendants in civil and criminal investigations and civil lawsuits. In addition, Allison frequently assists other law firms as co-counsel and local counsel in Wisconsin courts.

Allison recently was named a Best Lawyers One to Watch for antitrust as well as a “Leader in the Law” by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Allison practiced antitrust litigation and health care litigation at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago for six years. She also was a law clerk for the Honorable William C. Canby, Jr. of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
