Tara McTeague

Tara McTeague has had a diverse range of work experience throughout their career. Tara started their career as a Development Assistant at Berkeley Carroll School in 2005, before moving on to be a Development Assistant at the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH) in 2006. Tara then worked as a Development Associate at The New York Academy of Medicine from 2007 to 2009.

In 2010, Tara joined Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. as a Program Manager, where they focused on partnerships and disaster response. Tara held this role until 2015.

From 2015 onwards, Tara has been with Godiva Chocolatier. Tara started as a Manager in Global Internal Communications, before progressing to the role of Senior Manager in the same department in 2017. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of Global Corporate Communications. Tara's current role at Godiva is Head of Global Corporate Communications, where they oversee all aspects of the company's social impact work and communications.

Throughout their time at Godiva, Tara has led strategic communications during periods of significant change for the company, including two CEO transitions, global restructuring, and the exit of all brick and mortar locations in North America.

Tara McTeague pursued their education by first attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2000 to 2004. During this time, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on English. Showing a continued interest in furthering their knowledge, Tara later enrolled at New York University from 2009 to 2011. Here, they completed a Master of Public Administration degree specifically in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy.
