Michelle Baldis Horvath has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and compliance. Michelle began their career in 1998 as an Internal Auditor at Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., where they audited various controls and managed a team of 65 employees. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as an Internal Auditor at The Venetian I The Palazzo, Resort Hotel & Casino I Las Vegas Sands Corp., focusing on compliance with gaming control and company standards.

In 2004, Michelle joined the State of Nevada as a Department of Taxation Auditor, conducting audits for compliance with sales tax, use tax, and business tax regulations. Michelle then moved to Southwest Gas Corporation, where they held multiple roles from 2005 to 2014. As a Quality Auditor, they conducted operational quality assurance reviews and reviewed supplier quality systems. Later, as an Internal Auditor, they conducted audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory commissions.

From 2014 to 2016, Michelle worked as a Senior Auditor at CVS Health, responsible for conducting internal audits for Medicare D. Michelle developed audit plans, addressed complex issues related to Medicare Part D, and collaborated with management to resolve concerns. Michelle then joined Allegiant in 2016 as a Senior Auditor, assisting management and external auditors in evaluating internal controls for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.

In 2018, Michelle joined NV Energy as a Senior Internal Auditor. In this role, they planned, developed, and executed financial, compliance, and operational projects to evaluate risk management, internal control, and governance processes. Michelle ensured compliance with professional standards.

Currently, Michelle is working as the Internal Audit and Compliance Manager at Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing. Michelle is responsible for performing and controlling the full audit cycle, managing risks, ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance with company policies. Michelle also creates and implements department manuals, audit charters, and formalizes audit planning, testing, and reporting procedures. Michelle regularly briefs the Compliance Committee on audit project status and follows up on management action plans.
