Sarah McCarty

Sarah McCarty serves as the Chief Executive at Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru / Social Care Wales since April 2016 and previously held the position of Director of Improvement and Development at Cyngor Gofal Cymru / Care Council for Wales until July 2024. With extensive experience in workforce development, Sarah was the Director of Workforce Learning and Development at Skills for Care and Development from October 2005 to March 2016 and served as Improvement and Policy Manager at Monmouthshire County Council from 2002 to 2005. Early in their career, Sarah worked as South Wales Development Manager for Funky Dragon, Children and Young People's Assembly in Wales from 1996 to 2001. Sarah holds an MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Bristol and a BA (HONS) in Applied Social Studies and Human Resource Management from Keele University.
