Valerie King - MS UXMC

Valerie King - MS UXMC has worked in the user experience field since 2001. Valerie began their career as a Principal Consultant at Media and Information Science, LLC. Valerie then worked as a UX/Information Architect Consultant at Atlanta Housing from 2010-2011. From 2011-2015, they were a Senior User Experience Architect at Silverpop. From 2015-2020, they were a Senior User Experience Designer at IBM Watson Marketing. In 2020, they became Head of Product User Experience at GoFan and also took on the role of Senior User Experience Designer at Acoustic. Prior to these roles, they have also held various consultant positions at companies such as Sago Tec Inc., PGi, Accucast, Inc., and Socketware, Inc.

Valerie King holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a UX Master Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group in April 2020, an IBM Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in July 2017, and a UX Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group in November 2016.
