Dan Sweeney

Dan Sweeney is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in the edtech industry. Currently serving as Design Principal at GoGuardian since April 2021, Sweeney previously co-founded Pear Deck, where Dan held the position of VP of Product from January 2014 to April 2021, focusing on enhancing learning experiences for students. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Haiku Learning Systems as a Senior Designer and at ActiveGrade as Co-Founder and Director of Design. Sweeney's career also encompasses design supervision at the University of Iowa and adjunct faculty duties at Kirkwood Community College. Early professional experience includes design projects for MetaCommunications and an internship at the Iowa Energy Center, showcasing a robust background in graphic design that began with a BA from Iowa State University in 2003.
