Matthew Gates

Matthew Gates is an experienced software engineer and technology executive with a strong background in financial technology. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Harness since October 2015, Matthew contributes to a platform that connects consumers with nonprofits, financial institutions, and brands, aligning spending with personal values. Matthew held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Harness FI from March 2022 to January 2023 and previously served as Chief Technology Officer at LaunchPad (formerly StarterSpace) from May 2014 to June 2016, where skilled project management was key. Matthew earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Florida between 2011 and 2015, following graduation from Cape Coral High School in 2011.
