Ryan Galea

Ryan Galea has a strong background in finance and leadership roles. Ryan is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer at Icon since June 2022 and also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at VoiceFriend since August 2021. Previously, they founded and served as the Managing Principal at Alta Lake Equity Partners since August 2020. Before that, they worked as an Investment Professional at Citadel from August 2019 to August 2020 and as an Associate at Citadel from June 2018 to August 2018. Prior to their time at Citadel, they gained experience as a Private Equity Associate at Lindsay Goldberg from July 2014 to July 2016. Ryan started their career as an Investment Banking Analyst, focusing on healthcare, at Credit Suisse from July 2012 to July 2014, and also worked as an Analyst in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse from June 2011 to August 2011.

Ryan Galea completed their education at several prestigious institutions. Ryan earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with majors in Data Science and Finance from The Wharton School, where they attended from 2016 to 2019. During the same period, Ryan also pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

Prior to their graduate studies, Ryan Galea obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, where they majored in Finance and concentrated in Accounting. Ryan attended McGill from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Galea has acquired several certifications. Ryan is an attorney, having obtained their certification from the New York State Bar Association in June 2020. In August 2012, they obtained the Series 79 - Limited Representative Investment Banking certification from FINRA. Furthermore, Ryan passed Level 1 of the CFA exams administered by the CFA Institute in June 2012.
