Juhan Sonin

Juhan Sonin is a director at GoInvo, a previous company of their being MITRE. Juhan worked there from January 2003 to January 2009 as a designer, group and project leader, entrepreneur, mentor, and apostle for Design and Open Source. According to their performance grade over their tenure at MITRE, they built an internal design business, lead the Open Design Group which fluctuated between 6-10 designers and engineers, learned the entire business of service design and enterprise engineering, and designed services that often pushed the edges of MITRE and customer businesses. Before working at MITRE, Sonin was employed by MIT from January 2001 to December 2002 as a designer. There they did interface design, system modeling, and distance education application design and development. Juhan was also employed by Cinoni from January 2000 to December 2001 as Creative Director and by The Media Cafe from January 1996 to December 1997 as Designer, Principal. Lastly, they were employed by National Center for Supercomputing Applications from January 1995 to December 2000 as a Designer, Research Scientist.

Juhan Sonin graduated from Lexington High School. Juhan then went on to study art and mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After college, they attended the Harvard Business School's Executive Program for AIGA Business Perspectives for Design Leaders.
