Rod Heiden has served as the Mayor of the City of Clarion since January 2022 and is currently the Transportation Manager at Gold Eagle Cooperative, a position held since August 2020. Previously, Rod worked as an EMT for the Clarion Ambulance Service from March 2006 to July 2022 and held several roles at Gold-Eagle Cooperative, including Network Administrator and Safety Director, between November 1996 and August 2020. Earlier career experience includes working as a Driver at Ennis Corporation from 1994 to 1996 and as a Foreman at Erickson Manufacturing from 1986 to 1994. Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information Systems from Buena Vista University (2001-2004) and an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Iowa Central Community College (1998-2001).
