Isaac Ofori Ampong holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) and possesses extensive experience in the mining and geotechnical fields. Currently serving as a Resource Geologist at Gold Fields since September 2016, responsibilities include planning drillholes, overseeing drilling activities, conducting photogrammetric mapping and geological modeling, and performing statistical and geostatistical analyses in R. Previous experience as a Geological Engineer involved monitoring and stabilizing mine high walls, conducting geotechnical inspections, and optimizing slope designs. An earlier internship at the UMaT Geotechnical Laboratory focused on soil and rock testing and processing test results. Isaac is a member of professional organizations including the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (mWAIMM), the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (mAusIMM), and the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists (mGhIG).
