David Garofalo, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D has had a successful and extensive career in the mining industry. David is currently serving as the Chairman & CEO of Gold Royalty Corp. and the Co-Chair of the Board at GoldMining Inc. Additionally, they hold the position of Non Executive Director at Aris Gold Corporation.

Before their current roles, Garofalo was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marshall Precious Metals Fund (MPM Capital Management). David also served as the President and CEO of Goldcorp from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they held the positions of President and CEO at Hudbay Minerals Inc. and Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited.

Garofalo's career started at Deloitte, where they worked as a Chartered Accountant. David then moved on to Inmet Mining Corporation, where they served as Treasurer. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong financial expertise and leadership in the mining industry.

David Garofalo earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the University of Toronto in 1988. David then pursued further education from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), where they obtained the designation of Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountant and Fellow of Chartered Accountant in 1990. In 2005, they attended the Institute of Corporate Directors to receive the ICD.D Designation, specializing in Corporate Governance Education.
