Gold Rush Pictures is an international independent production company and financier working across Europe and beyond. Founded in 2021 by Vladimir Zemtsov, the company partners with distinctive filmmakers to develop and produce ambitious, director-led cinema with global reach.

Gold Rush collaborates closely with established and emerging auteurs whose work moves between major festivals and international audiences. Recent and ongoing projects include Club Zero by Jessica Hausner (Cannes Competition 2023), An Unfinished Film by Lou Ye (Cannes Special Screenings 2024), and The Fin by Syeyoung Park (Locarno 2025).

Gold Rush maintains a long-term creative partnership with Tom Tykwer and X Filme Creative Pool, including The Light (Das Licht), which opened the 2025 Berlinale. The company co-produced Glenrothan, the directorial debut of Brian Cox, premiering in Toronto with Lionsgate and Screen Scotland.

Current and recent productions include The Idiots, directed by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert; Disappearance by Kirill Serebrennikov (Cannes 2025); and Rosebush Pruning by Karim Aïnouz, in collaboration with The Match Factory.

Gold Rush operates as a hands-on creative partner across development, financing, and production, structuring projects strategically while protecting the clarity of the director’s vision. The company’s focus is on building enduring collaborations and a slate defined by strong authorship, international co-production, and long-term cultural value.
