Frank Bolton

Frank Bolton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2022 to the present, they have been working as a Senior Software Developer at Gold Standard Phantoms, where they develop software tools for MRI scanners. In 2022, they also worked as a Data Science Consultant at Clexio Biosciences.

Prior to this, from 2015 to 2020, Frank served as the Hardware Engineering Lead at MobileODT, responsible for building pro-manufacturing versions of devices and ensuring they meet specifications. Frank also worked as a Research and Development Engineer at MobileODT from 2015 to 2017, developing prototype devices and conducting applied research.

Before joining MobileODT, Frank worked as a Researcher in Human Factors at Edna Pasher PhD & Associates from 2012 to 2014. Frank also served as a Biomedical Engineering Research Fellow at Northwestern University from 2010 to 2012 and as an MSc student at the University of Cape Town from 2009 to 2011.

Additionally, Frank worked as a Standby Service Engineer at Lodox Systems from 2009 to 2010, as a Projects Engineer at Abacus Automation from 2007 to 2009, and as a Student Web and Software Developer at Intdev Internet Technologies in 2003.

Throughout their career, Frank has demonstrated expertise in software development, data science, hardware engineering, biomedical research, and web development.

Frank Bolton completed their education in a chronological order. Frank first attended the University of Johannesburg from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology. Concurrently, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university, completing it in 2006. In 2009, Frank enrolled at the University of Cape Town, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering, which they completed in 2011. Finally, from 2012 to 2022, Frank pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial Engineering at Tel Aviv University.
